Amin Nakhi is a filmmaker, videographer, and visual artist working across advertisement, documentary, and contemporary media. His practice explores the relationship between image, narrative, and perception, with a focus on creating visually compelling work that connects with both audiences and context.
He holds a Master’s degree in Film and Media (Media Arts) from the University of South Carolina, where his work centres on essay documentary and experimental storytelling. His background combines technical precision with conceptual inquiry, shaping a multidisciplinary approach to visual production.
Amin has produced, filmed, and edited over 70 multimedia projects for more than 50 organisations across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. His collaborations include brands, cultural institutions, and international companies such as Alibaba, Kalleh, and Farhang Foundation. His work spans commercial campaigns, social media content, and independent film.
Alongside his commercial work, Amin is an award-winning filmmaker. Multiple international festivals, including the Power24 International Film Festival and the American Motion Pictures Festival, have screened and recognised his films. His projects often investigate themes of identity, memory, and displacement through a visually driven narrative language.
Working fluidly between artistic and commercial contexts, Amin’s practice is defined by a balance of storytelling, visual sensitivity, and a profound engagement with the moving image.
