IT SEEMS
Everything that happens is meant to happen. Even the darkest moments, the ones that tear us apart, are woven into the fabric of our lives.
This short film explores the sadness that comes when we realise we have no control, but also the quiet acceptance that maybe these moments, no matter how painful, are an inseparable part of who we are. This will hold you in memories without following any rule of time.

THE BREATH OF LIFE
Everyone deserves freedom; pursue it, but remember, it starts in your mind first.
This film is a deeply personal project that I took from concept to screen. As the writer, director, and cinematographer, I poured my heart into every frame, crafting a story that reflects my vision and passion for storytelling. The film was brought to life through the performances of Sahar Naraqi and the expert editing by MJ Golzari, whose collaboration helped shape the final piece. Special thanks to Soroush Qiumarsi, whose support as director's assistant was invaluable in realising this project. It’s a testament to the power of creativity and teamwork, made with dedication and love for the art of cinema

A Sky Between Us
Long distances can separate you from yourself.
A short film about missing someone. The story is about a man who starts each day with an alarm and ends it with a knock on his door. I don’t want to show a repetitive routine but rather a subtle progression each day. The knock on the door repeats each day, and at the end, we discover what it is.
I’m beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to screen it at the historic Nick Theatre in Columbia, South Carolina.

Homeland Trauma
I created a short film using early versions of MidJourney and Runway to explore and express the traumas I carry with me after emigration and the reasons behind them. This project was deeply personal, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of AI. It’s also my first experience working with these tools. One of the biggest challenges I faced was maintaining consistency, but I believe I managed to solve it quite well

Plight - 16mm
Working with a Bolex 16mm camera! Stepping into the world of analogue filmmaking, I was able to explore the unique challenges and rewards that come with handling film from start to finish. Working within the limitations of a 16mm setup pushed me to be more deliberate with each shot, making every frame count. The entire process, from manually setting up the shot to processing the film, was both challenging and incredibly rewarding.
